Yepocapa: Caturra

Single Origin/Single Varietal

Quality, Value, and Preparing for the Future

A Single Varietal/Single Origin level coffee...?! There's definitely a story behind this coffee and we're excited to share it!

The Campesinos have always been paid the same price no matter what quality of coffee they offered. When they obtained their licensing, it changed a lot of things! Now, their quality and efforts to offer a tasty cup have value; they can hope for financial change and for future success in coffee farming.

With this new hope, they took advice from Anacafe and separated out their best varietals from 12 Campesinos to produce this offering!

The Campesinos also got the opportunity to cup these coffees! For many of them, this was their first time cupping their own coffee, and it helped them to recognize the value of their work.

This Caturra Altura is a perfect example. It's incredibly clean, bright, floral, sweet, and paired with a warm medium body.

We're thankful for their work and for the logistics it took to offer this selection to you!

Among the numerous luxuries of the table…coffee may be considered as one of the most valuable. It excites cheerfulness without intoxication; and the pleasing flow of spirits which it occasions…is never followed by sadness, languor or debility.
