We have found more and more Campesinos starting to ask questions about varietals. Which ones did we enjoy most, and which ones did we enjoy least? This is a tough question with the amount of variables in play: yield, disease resilience, soil quality, climate, and of course, cupping score!
This question revealed to us a deeper interest. The Campesinos are more than just monetarily driven. They're looking to produce a coffee that people will genuinely enjoy, while hopefully producing a future that will be better for their children. It's a conversation we hear all the time!
This desire to create a quality product has made the farmers willing to adapt to change, planting and separating out the varietals that will be enjoyed most. Simply put, the Campesinos and the Yepocapa Coffee team sincerely hope you'll enjoy their Altura Catuai. It was a selection put together by 10 farmers selectively harvesting solely their Catuai plants for you.
